Antique Scottish Smoothing Plane Woodwork Tool Mathieson, Moulsen Brothers

A fine Scottish pattern smoothing plane. Cast steel body, with rosewood infill and handle. Is fitted with Alex Mathieson blade and a Moulsen Brothers chip breaker.

The inside right corner of the chip breaker has been broken off. This does not effect performance and is not visible unless disassembled. The mouth has a couple of light chips, again not really effecting performance. Apart from these points this plane is in good order.

No cracks in the sole or wood wares. The plane is tuned and cuts very well.
