About 80-85 percent of japanning (japanning little thin in spots) with some light scratches, tiny pitting and tiny nicks on sides and bottom of sole. Iron (6-3/4" long x 1-1/2" wide) and chip breaker are in excellent condition, both have micro pitting, darkness and light scratches with BAILEYS PATENT DEC. 24,1867 stamped into chip breaker. A few light scratches, pitting and nicks in lever cap with a little pitting, tiny nicks (most on lever release) and darkness on back of cap. Frog as a little pitting, scratches and darkness, brass adjusting nut as patent dates stamped into it.
No chips or cracks on rosewood beaded front knob or tote handle (tiny bit of roughness on bottom of tote and as a little space between bottom of tote and sole, photo #9), both have small nicks and scratches from normal wear. Plane as been very lightly cleaned, oiled and waxed, please see pictures.
