Antique Vintage Stanley No. 5C Type 9 (1902-1907) Corrugated Woodworking Plane
About 85-90 percent original japanning (some missing spots in japanning) on sole, two patent dates in casting, some micro pitting, tiny nicks, darkness and light scratches on sides and bottom of sole from normal wear along with tiny pit marks around mouth, see photo #10. Frog as about 80 percent of it's original japanning with some micro pitting on frog. Lever cap as micro pitting, darkness, tiny nicks and scratches from normal wear. Iron stamped "STANLEY PAT APL'D 19 92" (6-7/8" long x 2" wide) and chip breaker (bluing on back) in great condition with micro pitting and scratches from normal wear.
No cracks or chips in rosewood short knob or tote handles, both handles have light scratches and tiny nicks from normal wear. Plane as been lightly cleaned, oiled and waxed, please see photos for more details.
