About 90 percent of japanning with some dark spots, micro pitting, tiny nicks and light scratches on sides and bottom of sole, there was black paint on plane that was taken off. Iron stamped "STANLEY RULE & LEVER CO" (7-3/4" long x 2-3/8" wide) in excellent condition.
Chip breaker in excellent condition, both iron & chip breaker have micro pitting, dark spots and light scratches with BAILEYS PATENT DEC. 24,1867 stamped into chip breaker. A few light scratches, micro pitting and darkness in banjo lever cap and a little pitting and darkness on back, number "7" on back. Frog as scratches, tiny nicks and a little pitting with solid brass adjusting nut with patent date stamped on it. No chips or cracks on rosewood beaded front knob or tote handle, both have small nicks and scratches from normal wear.
