This is a rare & collectible Fulton No. 3708 seven-inch length smoothing plane by the Fulton Tool Company, New York, New York.

Fulton equivalent of the Stanley No. 2, which was produced for Fulton by the Millers Falls Company of Millers Falls, Massachusetts. This is in "as found" used condition. This 1 5/8 inch width lever cap has a 401 on back, it has a little rust & pitting but in good condition. The knob shows wear to finish, but no cracks.

The tote has been repaired and the finish is worn and has a few nicks. The cutter has some pitting and rust, it measures: 5-3/4" L x 1-5/8" W. It would need to be honed for optimal use. Plane's cheeks and sole has some pitting, rust but would clean up well. The plane measures 7" L x 2" W.

There is Fulton No 3708 on cheek. Made in USA is on body behind frog. A really good find and ready to go to work for you and a nice addition to your toolbox!! FOLLOW ME FOR FIRST PICK OF THE BEST YET TO COME!! JUST WAIT FOR A REVISED INVOICE..
