418 Woodworking 18 Fore Plane Inv# BH04. 418 Woodworking 18 Fore Plane has been cleaned and restored.
Has lots of life left. The plane's japanning is 85% intact. The knob and tote are hardwood with typical wear from use.
Japanning is rough and it looks like it has been touched up with black paint some time ago. The plane measures 18" L x -2-7/8" W. It has a Sargent V.
Cutter measures 7-3/8" x 2-3/8" W. Cutter has mild discoloration but very clean and might need honing. There is the Sargent imprint behind knob. The number 418 on bed behind frog. Sole is has some typical scratches, wear, rust but is in.
Smooth and clean IT IS IN "AS FOUND" VERY GOOD CONDITION RIGHT OUT OF A WOODWORKERS SHOP. Everything is in great working order, no cracks or breaks... A really good user tool ready to go to work for you and a nice addition to your toolbox!! Condition - Antique, Used, may have minor surface dents, pitting, dings or corrosion.
