About 90-95 percent of original japanning with light scratches, micro pitting, scratches and tiny nicks on sides and bottom of sole. Rare type 1 iron and chip breaker "STANLEY RULE & LEVER Co" stamp iron (6-3/4" long) and chip breaker, stamped "L. 24.1867 are in excellent condition with little micro pitting, scratches and dark spots on both. Light scratches and small pit marks on solid back lever cap with number "3" in casting on back of lever cap.
About 70 percent original japanning on frog with solid brass adjusting nut. Frog with dark spots, tiny nicks and scratches. No chips or cracks in rosewood beaded short knob or tote handle, just small nicks and scratches from normal wear.
