#13 Vintage 1948 1961 Stanley Bailey No 5 1/4 Type 19 Smooth Bottom Wood Plane Tool. A super clean vintage plane, the plane was disassembled and all parts lightly cleaned and oiled. This plane is in great condition, near 100% japanning intact.

The plane was obtained from an estate sale, shows to have been well cared for. The plane was apart of a large private collection. This is a vintage Stanley wood plane, model No 5 1/4, type 19, that I believe was produced from 1948 to 1961.

(dating; Rosewood handles, Stanley incised vertical on lateral lever). The plane is embossed on the front metal base. And behind the front knob is.

And on the rear base behind tote is. On the blade lateral lever is STANLEY incised vertical, and stamped on the blade is. STANLEY inside the notched rectangle, and MADE IN USA. The lever cap is the machined key hole style, and. STANLEY in the notched rectangle logo trade. Mark with no background color. The blade depth adjuster knob is brass and is approx. The blade is 7 1/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The plane is 11 1/2" long, 5 1/2" tall and has a 2 1/8" wide" base. The plane is in super good condition for the era.
