AP'L 19, 92 (in two lines), used from 1888 1907 The plane is embossed on the front metal base NO 5, close together, moved further apart. Beginning in 1893 has a B embossed in the back of the frog. Has the barrel type brass screw caps for front knob and rear tote. This plane does not have the Bailey's name and patent dates brass adjustment nut and cap iron, that was eliminated in 1893? The plane is 13 1/2" long, 5 1/2" tall and has a 2 3/8" wide" base.
The blade is 2" wide and 6 3/4" long. The blade depth adjusting knob is 1 in dim. The plane is in good condition for the era. Wood is solid but has a few rubs and scratches, discoloration. Has a small chip out of front knob..The japanning is about 75 to 80% intact - has a few spots that have chipped.
