Antique Norris No. 2 Dovetail Smoothing Woodwork Plane
An antique Norris 2 smoothing plane, rounded body with dovetailed sides and sole. Rosewood infill and front bun, in really good condition, partial crack to rear handle, not through nor repaired, stops 1/2 way around handle at the screw. Good length 4 mm thickness Norris (not stamped) blade and stamped Norris cap iron. The sole is nice and clean, no damages or chips around the mouth. Small dinks to the plane edge, left of mouth (as photographed). This is a really nice and scarce No. 2 smoother in superb condition. Not to be missed by collectors and investors of these fine tools.
