A superb and quite scarce Stanley No. 131, double ended block plane, with depth adjustment.
Cast steel, single piece body, with two slots cut into the sole, reversible blade and cap, acting as either block plane or bull-nose plane. Around 90% of the original japanned finish remains. Infilled repair to base of unknown cause, can only assume it was a casting flaw, as the there is no evidence on the other side. Despite this, the sole is smooth and flat. Please see my other listings for more interesting and useful items; including more vintage woodwork tools.
