8 jointer plane with smooth sole. The plane measures 23 11/16 inches long and is 3 1/8 inches wide. Weight is 8 pounds 12 ounces without packaging. The rear wood handle (tote) and the front knob are both in good condition with no cracks however there is a chip of wood missing at the top of the tote. The cutter is a Stanley pat'd 1892. The outside surface of the body has no pitting but there are light surface scratches and the letter "F" has been stamped in approximately 3 places on the side of the body. There appear to be three patent dates on the lateral adjustment lever... I can only make out one and it appears to be 7-24-88. The other dates have a little more pitting and I can't quite make out those dates. There is a chip of metal missing at the rear of the plane on one side (see photo 6).
