Antique Vintage SET of EIGHT (8) MARPLES WOOD WORKING LATHE CHISELS TOOLS Nice older Set of Eight (8) Lathe Tools. All are marked: "MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND". Some are marked with a Shamrock & some may be marked with a W. Parting Tool is marked with a "W". Six (6) of the Eight (8) blades were wrapped in 1985 newspaper.

The other two (2) were probably also wrapped in paper at one time. Size & Marks on Blade. 3/4 Rough Gouge - Full mark. 5/8 Rough Gouge - 1/2 Out & 1/2 Under Handle. 1/4 Spindle Gouge - Barely shows.

USED CONDITION: There are the normal scruffs & scratches to the Set of Lathe Chisels due to use & storage. The finish on the wood handles is worn. There are stains on the handles due to use. All tips are in good condition. Need to be cleaned before use, if desired.

Approximate Measurements: Handles: 9.5 L. Total Length range from 15 1/8" to 16 1/8".
