Antique Vintage Stanley No. 2 Type 2 (1869-1872) Pre-Lateral Woodworking Plane

About 90-95 percent of original japanning with some light scratches on sides and bottom of sole. Iron (6-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide) and chip breaker are in excellent condition, both have micro pitting and light scratches with BAILEYS PATENT DEC. 24,1867 stamped into chip breaker. A few light scratches, pitting and nicks in solid back lever cap with a little pitting and darkness on back of cap.

Frog as a little pitting, scratches and darkness, brass adjusting nut (not solid) as patent dates stamped into it. No chips or cracks on rosewood beaded front knob or tote handle, both have small nicks and scratches from normal wear.
