Antique Vintage Stanley No. 2 Type 2 (1869-1872) Pre-Lateral Woodworking Plane
About 90-95 percent of original japanning with some light scratches on sides and bottom of sole. Iron (6-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide) and chip breaker are in excellent condition, both have micro pitting and light scratches with BAILEYS PATENT DEC.
24,1867 stamped into chip breaker. A few light scratches, pitting and nicks in solid back lever cap with a little pitting and darkness on back of cap. Frog as a little pitting, scratches and darkness, brass adjusting nut (not solid) as patent dates stamped into it.
