Antique Vintage Stanley No. 4 Type 2 (1869-1872) Pre-Lateral Woodworking Plane

About 40-50 percent of original japanning (seems to have some black paint on some spot on japanning) with some light pitting, tiny nicks and light scratches on sides and bottom of sole. Iron stamped "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL Co" (6-5/8" long x 2" wide) chip breaker in great condition, both light scratches and micro pitting with BAILEYS PATENT DEC.

24,1867 Stamped into chip breaker. Scratches, pitting and nicks in lever cap, lever cap is "NOT" solid back. Frog (number 4 stamp on back) as a little pitting, scratches across the top and a little pitting with solid brass adjusting nut PATENTED AUG.

No chips or cracks in wood beaded front knob, tote as hard to see old repair crack near middle of handle, but is solid, both have small nicks and scratches from normal wear.
