Antique Vintage Stanley No. 4 Type 7 S Base (1893-99) Smooth Woodworking Plane
About 80-85 percent original pitted japanning on sole, "S" in casting above handle, some micro pitting, tiny nicks and light scratches on sides and bottom of sole from normal wear. Frog ("B" in casting) as about 85 percent of it's original japanning with some micro pitting and scratches, along with lose lever control "S" frog. "B" stamped lever cap, with micro pitting, darkness, very light scratches. Iron stamped "STANLEY PAT ALP'L 19.92" (7-1/8" long x 2" wide) both iron and chip breaker in great condition with pitting, darkness and scratches from normal wear. No cracks or chips in short knob or.
Tote handle, both handles have light scratches and tiny nicks from normal wear. Plane as been lightly cleaned, oiled and waxed, please see photos for more details.
