CLEAN Vintage Stanley Bailey No 8 Type 6 Jointer Woodworking Plane Inv#RC08

This Stanley No 8 Made in USA Circa 1888-92 Jointer. Plane has been taken apart and cleaned properly, preserving its integrity and patina. The plane's japanning still looks good for age, might have been repainted along the way? It has the horizontal Stanley with three patent dates on the adjustable lever. The knob and tote are in fine condition, no cracks or splits.

I don't believe they are original, might have been replaced at some point. The sole, cheeks, cutter and cap have cleaned up beautifully. He plane measures 23-3/4" x 3". The sole and cheeks have cleaned up very nicely. The cutter has the Stanley Rule & Level Co logo and the chip breaker has L.

Bailey's Patent Dec 24, 1867 on it (see close-up), both have cleaned up beautifully. 8" L x 2-3/8" W.

I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. Stanley is marked horizontal on the lateral adjustment lever. This is a Stanley No 8 jointer that is in cleaned-up. Usable condition with lots of life left. A really good user tool ready to go to work for you and a nice addition.

Everything is in great working order..... WOULD MAKE A FINE USER!!! Condition - Antique, Used, may have minor surface dents, pitting, dings or corrosion.
