Clifton Multi Plane by Clico Tooling, Sheffield. A Rare & Collectible Woodworking Tool. I bought this new some years ago to complement my collection of woodworking tools. It has been little used, I have many other specialist planes and a router table. So it is time to move it on. It's in very good condition and comes in the original mahogany veneer box and with the instruction book.

Also included are 22 Record multi plane cutters. Plough/rebate: 1.1/4" 32mm, 7/8" 22mm, 13/16" 20.6mm (2), 3/4" 19mm (2), 5/8" 16mm, 1/2" 12.7mm, 7/16" 11mm, 3/8" 9.5mm (2), 1/4" 6.2mm (2), 3/16" 5mm (2), 3/16" 5mm (2), 1/8" 3mm. Beading: 1/2" 12.7mm, 3/8" 9.5mm, 5/16" 8mm, 1/4" 6.2mm, 3/16" 5mm, 1/8" 3mm. Sash cutter: (without depth stop): 1.3/4 44.5mm.

Most of the Record cutters are unused and will need honing before use. Fence can be set to two heights depending on the job. Micro screw adjuster on the fence - very useful this for fine adjustment. Spurs on both skates for cross-grain work, housing joints etc. Depth stops on both skates - one is screw adjusted.

2 x 5" 125mm and 2 x 8.1/4" 210mm sliding bars. Steady cam for when planing some distance from an edge. Beading fence for beading tongue and grooved boards. The plane is modelled on the Stanley 45.

Any Clifton, Stanley 45 or Record multi plane blades will fit. Clifton no longer make this plane so it is collectible. The instruction book is very informative and explains setups with diagrams for ploughing, housing, rebates, beading, ovolos, tonguing, slitting, sash, fluting, reeding. There are special bases and cutters available second hand for hollows and round in various sizes (Clifton do not make them). Those made for the Stanley 45 should fit.
