FINE Antique Vintage Stanley Bailey No 6 Type 17 Fore Woodworking Plane Inv#RC06
This Stanley Bailey No 6 Type 17 Made in USA Circa 1946-47 Fore. Plane has been taken apart and cleaned. The plane's japanning is rough and worn. It has the horizontal Stanley name on the adjustable lever. NOTE: The lateral adjustable lever appears to have been replaced, was fit on loosely and has an off-set limiting its full range of adjustment. The knob and tote are in fine condition, no cracks or splits, just most of the black paint has been worn off. The sole amd cheeks have some pitting, but have cleaned up nicely. The plane measures 18-1/2" x 3". The cutter has the Stanley notched logo, USA.
7-3/4" L x 2-3/8" W. It has a few nicks and would need to be sharpened for optimal use. This is a Stanley No 6 fore plane that is in clean. Usable condition with lots of life left.
