Good User Antique Stanley No 5 Type 8, 1899-02 Jack Woodworking Plane INV#SC19w

1899-02 Jack Woodworking Plane INV#SC19w. It has been taken apart and gently cleaned. The plane's japanning has some minor spotting on heel, otherwise in very nice condition. NOTE: The right side of toe has a nick out of it.. The low knob has a hairline crack, but tight. The tote is in good condition with only minor nicks, but NO REPAIRS. The lateral adjustment lever has a horizontal Stanley with a Patent date. He plane measures 13-5/8" x 2-5/8".

It is stamped No 5 in front of knob. The sole and cheeks have signs of pitting but have cleaned up well. The cutter has a Stanley notched logo with a Patent date of APR 1902. I always suggest sharpening the cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge.
