Japanese Chisel Set of 8 Hand Tool wood working #546. Thank you for viewing my item. From 3mm-30mm Brand: Mixed brands, Wooden handles: Oak Set of 8 chisels including 2 thrust chisels. This is a basic set for woodworking. Thrusting chisels are often used for finishing.

Cutting blade has completed basic sharpening. The finish was sharpened by hand using whetstone #6000. Even in this state, the blade is sharp enough.

Features: The backs of the chisels are sharpened with care. This surface is a plane with high accuracy. Many Japanese carpenters are particular about this backside.

When sharpening, the back of the chisel is finished first. This is because this back side is important for the blade to go straight into the wood. Blade is coated with blade oil. Wooden handles are polished and coated with beeswax. Blade width approx: 3mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm, 24mm, 30mm (Oiire), 18mm, 24mm (Tsuki).
