Lufkin Rule Co. Magic Pattern rule & chart, 1890 patternmakers, woodworking tool

This is the extremely hard to find patternmakers layout rule "the magic pattern", what it does is simplifies complex curve creations and replications without the need for complex mathematics and frequent mistakes. It's a fairly self explanatory tool but also has some very complex pattern layout capabilities. Trades it would likely pertain to are the patternmakers, tin knockers, carpentry of all sorts, steel fabrication, tailoring, drafting, etc, etc, etc. Comes completely free of damage and filth, and possibly unused.

Original box in excellent factory condition, as is the canvas scroll style direction for use, and entire tool. Has all three spring steel "ribbons" or flex patterns.

A 49 inch square stock steel rule, and two very fine trammels or compass points. Both have their pressure plates as seen in pics. The rule is marked in two styles or patterns, and the directions are crisp, printed on a canvas type material with the original tube still having it's stickers or decals also. Very hard to find, near perfect tool.

I Don't mind if I get to keep this one. As it's a very handy tool. Extremely helpful in drawing complex curve cut lines. Also great for the "design-build" type of guy. Box is 50-3/4" long by 3-3/4" wide by 2 tall. Will be packaged with care and consideration for the tools survival and your pleasure... The item "Lufkin Rule Co.
