An ORIGINAL CATALOGUE OF "WOOD WORKERS' TOOLS" as published by C. Strelinger & Company of Detroit, Michigan. This 1897 Edition of 1000 pages measures 7 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The Strelinger catalogues were known for their sometimes humorous commentary offered "obiter dicta" in their substantial catalogues.

Most notably, they thanked a correspondent who had written that he had just used his new Stanley No. 45 plane to make more than 6000 feet of bead molding, and then wondered aloud, in print, if the correspondent might not have been better off using a wooden bead molding plane, weighing it at less than a quarter pound, rather than a 7 pound combination plane.
