Rob't Sorby Infill Plane 10.25 Steel Body Scottish Woodworking Tool RARE

For sale is an antique Rob't Sorby Scottish infill plane. The plane body measures roughly 10 1/4" long and 2 9/16" wide with a rounded heel. The plane cutter and chip breaker are stamped Rob't Sorby.

The cutter is roughly 6 1/4" long and 2 3/16" wide and has the Rob't Sorby makers mark. There are stamped names in the wood by the front knob. The brass lever cap and screw are in good condition with some tarnish. The plane is in used condition with some surface rust and pitting.

The wood handle is missing the handle piece. The front knob is solid. There is a small piece of wood missing on the side of the front knob. The wood shows wear consistent with age and use. This is a nice rare antique plane that would be a great addition to your collection.
