They are all very sharp and come ready to use. I wet ground them all on a 50 micron stone (bevels are sharp and backs are flattened). They feature laminated cutting edges. (high carbon steel forged to iron). Occasional minor dents and surface wear due to their vintage nature, however this does not effect their functionality.

Blacksmith signatures are present on nearly all tools. Work of many well know blacksmiths are in this set (there are 3 Ouchi chisels). Very tough steel on these old chisels since steel hardens and stabilizes with time these are surely some of the most durable and trustworthy edges you can find.

Handles are made from various tones of red and white Japanese oak. This is a well cared for lot of bench chisels.

They've still got lots of life left in them! 8 Bench Chisels (oire nomi). Each is a different size ranging in width from 1/4"(6mm) to 1-3/8"(36mm).
