SPIERS AYR DOVETAIL SMOOTHING PLANE with SORBY IRON ROSEWOOD INFILL Antique Tool. Smoothing plane made by Stewart Spiers of Ayr. Stamped Spiers Ayr on brass lever. Sorby iron, with original Stewart Spiers lever cap.

The screw the keep the iron and the lever cap together is missing but they are relatively easy to get. View photographs to see the condition of the plane as that forms part of the description. There is a crack to the wooden handle as you can see in the photos.. No cracks to the casting.
