Vintage No 4 1/2 Wood Plane

Vintage No 4 1/2 Wood Plane. Sole has been flattened using a granite slab and buffed to 1,000 grit. The cheeks have also been cleaned and buffed.

The handles have been stripped, sanded, waxed and had 3 coats of clear lacquer applied for protection, they look good and feel great in the hand. The blade has been sharpened to 22,000 grit using the scary sharpe method, see YouTube for details on this method of unsure, and honed on a leather strop so it's razor sharpe. The blade was sharpened using a veritas mark 2 honing hide set at 25 degrees.

It's a great old plane and is ready to work straight away.
