Vintage Stanley Bedrock 607C Wood Plane, Type 1 1898

Vintage Stanley bedrock 607C Type 1 1898, this is based on my online research so not 100% that this is the case. Fantastic plane and all original as far I can tell, including the blade and rosewood handles. Have done a basic clean up and got the plane in working order. Have dismantled the plane entirely and we'll oiled all the components.

The handles have been stripped, sanded and then had 3 coats of paste wax applied. They're rosewood so this showcases the grain. They look good and feel great in the hand.

The blade has been sharpened to 22,000 grit using the scary sharp method, see YouTube for details, and then honed on a leather strop so it's razor sharp. The blade was sharpened using a veritas honing guide set at 25 degrees. Only fails is that the original japaning is just about gone but that's it. Solid very old plane and an excellent example of the type and model, given its nearly 125 years old.
