Vintage Stanley No 10 Type 8 (1899-02) B Casting Carriage Woodworking Plane
About 95 percent of original japanning (missing japanning spots) with light scratches, micro pitting and tiny nicks on sides and bottom of sole, "B" in casting under tote handle. "STANLEY" stamp iron (6-1/4 long) and chip breaker are in good condition with a sight bend in iron, pitting, scratches and dark spots on both. Light scratches and micro pitting in lever cap "B" in casting on back of lever cap. One patent date on lever control on frog with "S" in casting on bottom, 90-95 percent original japanning on frog, small nick on one side of frog with dark spots and scratches. No chips or cracks on R-wood short knob or tote handle, just small nicks and scratches from normal wear. Plane as been very lightly cleaned, oiled and waxed, please see pictures.
